Low inventory for colorado's housing market!

When your home state is the most popular place to live in the United States, it makes for a competitive housing market.  But what happens when the inventory disappears as well?
That is exactly what is currently happening in the Colorado housing market. The market slipped below 5,000 available homes in December. Only 4,171 homes were on the market at the end of January. This was based off  the DMAR (Denver Metro Association of Realtors) that covers eleven counties in the Metro area.
With this new record low, some buyers and realtors have started going to great lengths in order to make their offers more appeasing, such as making up the cost difference when a house appraises for less. Often times averaging from $10,000-$25,000.  According to 9 News, some people have even received hand written letters from people asking to buy their homes, when the homes are not even on the market!
A homeowner, who was interviewed by 9 news, said she had a person walk up to her porch and offer to buy the property right there on the spot!  She and her family have no plans to move out their house.
With the inventory being so low, this is the perfect time to sell your home! Not only will you receive multiple offers, there is a good chance you will sell your home for over asking price.
This is also a great time to buy, interest rates are still low!  When you have the right team of realtors, such as the Harmes Team backing you, with their 25 years’ experience, the chance of you getting your dream home becomes a reality.
