The Inspection

The Inspection                 This past Saturday the 26 th . (Yes the day after Christmas.) We had the Inspection done on our future house.   For me it was a pretty freaky thing. I’ve never done this before so I didn’t know what to expect. So I’m so glad my father and mother in law were able to come with. I felt a lot better knowing that someone who owns a house and has done some work to their house was there to help look at things. My husband and father in law were the main two who were helping the inspector spot things and were asking him questions about it. I followed them around as well, but felt more of a nuisance than anything. Especially when he had to crawl into the crawl space. I did not want to go. Who knew what creepy crawlers were down there. So I told them I’d wait up on the main floor. At that time my mother in law and I measured how things could fit in the room, such as the bed and dressers. We wanted to see if we liked the front bedroom or the back bedroom

Light at the end of the tunnel

Light at the end of the tunnel   So for those of you following along with me on my first time home buyer journey, you know that my husband and I have been struggling with getting our first home. Mostly because cash offers are beating us, or the fact we have an FHA loan. About a week or so ago, we had put an offer in for a house my husband and I loved. It was a small 2 bedroom and one bath house. But had a huge yard for entertaining. It was the perfect home. A starter home dream. So we put our offer in and two days later we found out we didn’t get it. It was a devastating blow. Well as I have said in my other blogs you just need to keep looking. So that’s what we did. Put a few more offers in, didn’t get those houses either. Till last Friday, a house very similar to the original one we put the offer on, came available. Toured it and put an offer in. Then later that night we heard that our original house we loved was available again. So now we had to pick between which h

Another offer is in!

Another offer is in! After a heart breaking experience with the last offer we put in. We decided to put another offer in. This time it’s for a townhome. For being a townhome though it’s pretty big. Around 1,400 square feet. It has the stuff we needed like a backyard, and a garage. Then ideally we wanted 3 bedrooms, which this one has, so that’s a big plus. This go around I’m not as excited as I was last time, about putting the offer in. Just because I’m worried about getting hurt like I did last time. Not to mention we know there are other offers in too. Now tomorrow when were supposed to hear back, my excitement that might be a different story. But we are still remaining hopeful we will get it, and this is finally the one. Because you never know what might happen. So the moral of this blog is that never give up, even if you’re only a few offers in to 20 offers. The right will come around when it’s meant to.
