Summer Activities

Summer is here, and we have lots of fun things to do!

Jeffrey Harmes and The Harmes Team, Residential Specialists in the North Metro Area, have put together some exciting ideas and activities to share with you to keep you and your family entertained this summer. We specialize in the areas of Thornton, Westinster, Northglenn, Broomfield, Brighton, Arvada and Henderson and have put together a list of activities offered in these northern neighborhoods. Below are some of the suggestions that you and your family might find interesting to participate in this summer.

  1.  As for the kiddos, we talked about summer camps last week.  In addition to summer camps, your family, especially the children, will definitely enjoy a day at the Broomfield Bay Aquatic Park, where people consider it a “mini Waterworld;”
  2. For your adventurous kiddos, try Mid-Air Adventures! They offer zip lines, giant swings, wall climbing and crossing rope bridges.
  3. Want to get in touch with nature Spend the day at the Butterfly Pavillon! Butterflies, spiders and other insects, along with some aquatic creatures, are showcased in this small and cozy venue for all ages to enjoy.  Children get to meet the Pavillon’s star, Rosie (a tarantula), and hold her too!
  4. Eat, drink and watch a movie!  At Cinebarre, adults can simply enjoy a movie and dinner/drinks at the same time.  Cinebarre has a fascinating display of movie posters, a friendly staff, along with the extra legroom for total comfort and relaxation!
  5. For the adults, Balistreri Vineyards holds seasonal events including an event in July where one can simply enjoy a Wine and Movie Night.  Microbreweries are popping up everywhere!  Craft beer, just like we want it!  From the flavor, taste, color and even smell, you won’t get bored of the many choices Denver has to offer.
  6. For the music lovers, you and your family can enjoy the Twist and Shout Summer Concert Series that runs every Thursday evenings from June to August.
  7. Funtastikids have different activities lined up for every first and third Wednesdays throughout June and July starting with a Lego Workshop, followed by a circus, a symphony and a theatrical show.
  8. Check out the different venues for Summer Concerts and Movies in the Park.  These are some of the outdoor fun the whole family would definitely enjoy!
  9. Golfers be excited with the schedules for free clinics, championships including lunch, drinks and dinner specials at all throughout June at Golf Westminster!  Sign up fast!
  10. Visit the Thornton Reservoir for more of nature oriented activities like picnics, cycling, bird watching and fishing this summer.
