Is Denver's housing market slowing down?

Colorado’s housing market is still booming! Denver just had another record-setting month, with the average home selling around $370K. Some realtors are predicting the market to finally ease up this summer.
According to the Denver Metro Association of Realtors, “For the first time in a while home buyers are starting to go under contract without competing offers and price reductions are beginning to make their way to the market.”
Even though it’s cooling down, it is still very much a sellers’ market. Many homes that are below $400K are the ones everyone is after. Usually when a house in or under that price range goes on the market, it will have a great deal of showings.
An example is an 837 square foot condo in Capitol Hill, Denver, listed at $230K, with two bedrooms, and one bathroom. In less than 24 hours the condo had been shown over two dozen times! At that point it already had one offer on the table.
Even with the slight cool down in the market, make sure you have the right realtor on your side. Here at the Harmes Team our realtors know this market and can get the deal done!
